The Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara or FIL is considered the most important literary event in Latin America and the world's second largest book fair after Frankfurt. Held in Expo Guadalajara, it was created more than 30 years ago by the University of Guadalajara and attracts over 500,000 visitors, both professionals and the book-loving public.
