De wereldberoemde Pride Amsterdam maakt dit jaar een uitstapje naar 'Amsterdam Beach'. Zandvoort is er trots dat Pride at the Beach is toegevoegd aan de officiële Pride Amsterdam Festival Agenda. Van maandag 31 juli tot en met 2 augustus wappert de Regenboogvlag op het gemeentehuis van Zandvoort en viert de badplaats diversiteit met een spetterend programma.

Op maandag 31 juli vervoert de NS in de speciale Pride Express vele LGBT-bezoekers voor Pride at the Beach van Amsterdam naar Zandvoort. Om 15.00 uur is de aftrap met de speciale Pride at the Beach Parade. Een kleurige parade leidt de bezoekers via de Boulevard en het strand naar het openingsfeest op het Raadhuisplein waar locoburgemeester Gerard Kuipers de deelnemers welkom heet. Het hijsen van de regenboogvlag op het gemeentehuis is het startsein voor het openingsfeest met verschillende optredens van onder andere Anita Meijer en Shary-An.

Op dinsdag 1 augustus is het strand van Amsterdam Beach het toneel voor het Beach Festival. Mango's Beach Bar en Bruxelles aan Zee zorgen voor een heerlijke line up en verschillende strandpaviljoens organiseren sportieve krachtmetingen.

Op woensdag 2 augustus wordt de eerste editie van Pride Amsterdam Beach afgesloten met een Beach Party bij Club Nautique met onder andere de Heeren van Aemstel band. De dag wordt afgesloten met een waanzinnig vuurwerk van Holland Casino. Daarmee is de basis gelegd voor een jaarlijks festival.

This year, the world famous Pride Amsterdam takes a trip to the seaside, to 'Amsterdam Beach'. Zandvoort is proud to announce Pride at the Beach has been added to the official Pride Amsterdam Festival Agenda. From July 31st through August 2nd, the rainbow flag will fly over Zandvoort town hall and the beach resort will celebrate diversity with an unmissable festival.

On Monday, July 31st, the Dutch railways will run a special Pride Express train to bring LGBT visitors from Amsterdam to Zandvoort for Pride at the Beach. The festival will kick off at 15.00 with the special Pride at the Beach Parade. A colorful parade will lead everybody along the boulevard and the beach to the opening party on the Raadhuisplein square, for the opening speech by deputy mayor Gerard Kuipers. The rainbow flag is hoisted over the town hall, signaling the start of the opening party with several performing artists like Anita Meijer, Niki Today en Shary-An.

On Tuesday, August 1st, Amsterdam Beach stages the Beach Festival. Mango's Beach Bar and Bruxelles aan Zee offer a delightful lineup and several other beach clubs organize sporty events.

Wednesday, August 2nd sees the end of the first edition of Pride at the Beach with a last beach party at Club Nautique, featuring the Heeren van Aemstel band, among others. The day concludes with an awesome fireworks display by Holland Casino. These three days lay the foundations for making Pride at the Beach an annual festival.
