Sons Of Kemet is the iconoclastic mix of tenor sax, tuba and double drums. Led by saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, the MOBO award-winning Sons Of Kemet features Theon Cross on tuba and both Tom Skinner (Hello Skinny, Mulatu Astatke) and Eddie Hick (Roots Manuva, Gilad Atzmon) on drums. Hypnotic double drum rhythms frame the colourful interplay of saxophone and tuba as the original compositions are brought to life by four fiercely creative musicians. On this third studio album, they bring a genre defying approach, which celebrates the restless exploration of identity within the Caribbean diaspora within the U.K. 'Your Queen is a Reptile' was recorded in London with a host of guests spanning the breadth of the UK scene including jungle legend Congo Natty and poet Joshua Idehen. Recently signed to the iconic Impulse! Label, 'Your Queen is a Reptile' is released worldwide on 30 March 2018.
