Beijing's take-off on the Oktoberfest is held at Xiedo (Crab Island) Holiday Resort, a slightly out-of-town resort with fake beach and amusement park. Staged by Schottenhamel, which hosts one of the largest tents in Munich, it offers cold beer on hot summer days, German food, entertainment and beer-drinking contests.
