Since its creation in 1960, FICCI has welcomed and celebrated bold and novel perspectives in Ibero-American and World Cinema, with a specific focus on the development of Colombian films and their international reach. The festival has served as a meeting point for diverse views and has received directors from the region and the world ranging from Alejandro González Iñárritu and Carlos Reygadas, to Apichatpong Weerasethakul, among many others.
