Espace des arts

L'espace des arts présentera les œuvres de 10 artistes d'ici et du Canada, réunis ainsi pour la première fois à Montréal. Elles seront présentées dans quatre conteneurs installés à l'angle des rues Sainte-Catherine et Saint-Hubert. Les artistes peintres montréalais Georges-Adrien Dehoma et Patricia Klimov sont les co-curateurs de l'exposition qui regroupera les tableaux de Yunus Chkirate, de Marcio Melo, de Mieyun, d'Edward Bader et de Miss Butterfly. Les créations vestimentaires du designer Antonio Ortega et les œuvres de la dessinatrice Feliz Tupe et du photographe Jihef Portelance compléteront l'ensemble.

Accessible dès le 10 août de 16h à 21h, l'Espace des arts sera par la suite ouvert tous les jours de 13h à 21h. Le vernissage de l'exposition se déroulera en présence des curateurs et des artistes le 10 août à 17h.

Nous reconnaissons que les terres sur lesquelles nous nous assemblons pour Fierté Canada Montréal 2017 font partie du territoire traditionnel et non cédé des Kanien'keha:ka (Mohawks). L'île connue sous le nom de est désignée dans la langue des Kanien'keha:ka. Il s'agit d'un site qui a longtemps servi de lieu de rencontre et d'échanges entre les nations, y compris le peuple Algonquin.

Espace des arts or the Art Space will present the works of 10 local and Canadian artists, assembled in Montréal for the first time. They will be exhibited in four containers installed on Ste. Catherine Street at the corner of St. Hubert. Montréal-based painters George-Adrien Dehoma and Patricia Klimov are the co-curators of the exhibit which will feature paintings by Yunus Chkirate, Marcio Melo, Mieyun, Edward Bader and by Miss Butterfly. The clothing created by designer Antonio Ortega and the drawings of Feliz Tupe and photography by Jihef Portelance will complete the ensemble.

Accessible on August 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Art Space will then be open every day from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The opening of the exhibition will be held in the presence of the curators and all the artists on August 10 at 5:00 p.m.

WORKS ON EXHIBIT ARE FOR SALE BY ARTISTS

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather for Canada Pride Montréal 2017 is the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien'keha:ka (Mohawk). The island called "Montréal" is known as Tiotia:ke in the language of the Kanien'kehá:ka, and it is a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations, including the Algonquin people.
