We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather for Canada Pride Montréal 2017 is the traditional and unceded territory of the Kanien'keha:ka (Mohawk). The island called "Montréal" is known as Tiotia:ke in the language of the Kanien'kehá:ka, and it is a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations, including the Algonquin people.
Founded in 2007, Fierté Montréal / Montréal Pride is a community-driven non-profit organization that organizes the annual pride.
