Hutzot Hayotzer - AKA the International Jerusalem Arts and Crafts Fair - has been a major summer festival since 1976. It fills a valley at the foot of the Old City with artisan stalls, food stands and live musical and dance performances. Studios in the adjacent artist colony, also named Hutzot Hayotzer, stay open late and workshops are held. Hutzot Hyotzer translates "The Creator Steps Out."
