It's the Age of Aquarius... Be Queer Now!

Calamus Fellowship, in conjunction with National Aids Memorial Grove and the GLBT Historical Society, invites you to join us in celebrating the spirits and sounds of the Summer of Love's 50th anniversary and our community's ongoing revolution!

This special Pride Week kick-off on the cusp of the summer solstice will feature a fabulous afternoon of 1960s magic, including:

* Pride Honoree and Rock & Roll Legend Blackberry opening our rite of passage in song with the authentic "67"

* Groovy music by local DJ legends Steve Fabus, Maha Wam, JusTime, and Brontez Purnell taking us on a trip back to the 60s

* Special performances by Liam Ocean and Jubilee (Jordan Joel)

* Rad workshops (including on spiritual development, astrology, intimacy, hooping, and queer history)

* Facepaint by Ismael, Phoenix, Joia and others

* Displays by local artists, an art creation space, massage, cuddle space, giant bubbles, and more

We also encourage you to offer your own special contribution! (art, workshop, etc)

Lastly we're hosting a *DELICIOUS POTLUCK *, so please bring your best covered dish, as well as your own libations (BYOB), blankets, park fun (flagging, hoops, etc) and love! Thanks to a generous donation from Rainbow Grocery, we'll also have some fresh fruit and light snacks to help augment our community picnic.

This event is FREE and friendly for all ages, and we welcome queer families of all stripes to join us for a fun-filled Father's Day.

Donations will be collected for the AIDS Memorial Grove, GLBT Historical Society and to help cover costs for the event.

We also really encourage you to go see "Lavender Tinted Glasses: A Groovy Gay Look at the Summer of Love" at the GLBT History Museum. Curated by Joey Cain, this exhibition showcases Janis Joplin, Allen Ginsberg, Kenneth Anger, and Gavin Arthur - just a few of the LGBTQ artists and activists who helped to ignite the passion of the people who fueled the Summer of Love. This show runs through September. For more details: http://www.glbthistory.org/museum/lavender-tinted-glasses/

San Francisco's "queer Smithsonian," the GLBT Historical Society houses one of the world's largest collections of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender historical material.
