There's no better street in Cape Town for moseying than Bree Street, dubbed the city's "Most Fashionable Street," "Hippest Block," "Coolest Block, " Coolest Restaurant Strip." By day, it's charming boutiques, art galleries and pop-up stores. By night, it's trendy bars. Day or night, it can't be beat for restaurant selection from bakeries to gourmet. The product of gentrification, it stretches more than a block from the "top" by Table Mountain down towards the waterfront. The first Thursday of each month is especially lively as everything stays open later than usual.
