All four Clifton beaches, separated by protective giant boulders, offer sheltered sunbathing on soft white sand, but #3 is predominately gay. It's a good spot to eyeball beautiful bodies and sunsets. Downsides: water generally too cold for a dip, lots of steps from the road to the beach and drinking in public is forbidden. About 12 minutes from the city center, it can be reached by public transportation.
