Mangwanani Boutique Spa is a wellness retreat with African-inspired massage therapies, beauty-inspired treatments and a line of spa products. Founded in 2002, the national chain offers head-to-toe indulgences. Even more importantly, it provides a "hand up" to rural women through training, accreditation and employment. Ninety-five percent of the 1,000 employes, previously were under- or unemployed. Half-day, full-day and evening packages are available as well as individual therapeutic treatments. In addition to the Victoria & Albert Waterfront location, it also has spas in The Cullinan hotel in the business district and the Winelands B&B near Stellenbosch.
