The Pan African Market on three floors of an old Victorian building showcases a slew of multi-ethnic independent retailers representing at least 14 African countries. Barter for masks, fertility figures, beaded jewelry, drums, ethnic dress - but you can pay with credit cards. Started in 1997, the market also has an inexpensive café called Timbuktu that overlooks Long Street.
