The Silo District is multi-million dollar development underway in six 1920s grain silos that once were the tallest buildings in Sub-Saharan Africa. Built around a central pedestrian plaza, it includes offices, apartments and a state-of-the-art Virgin Active health club. Coming up: the nine-floor Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art, the largest art museum to be built in Africa in a century, will be topped with a boutique hotel.
