Operating since 1929, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway takes five minutes to reach the 1,089-meter summit. The lower station can be reached by taxi, Uber, the Hop-On/Hop-Off bus and a free shuttle from the Lower Tafelberg Road bus stop. One-way and round-trip tickets available, weather-permitting. There's a half-price sunset special November through February except for the Christmas holidays. Three hiking trails head out from the Upper Cable Station with guided walks on the hour between 9 am and 3 pm daily. Adventure sport enthusiasts can abseil down a cliff face.
