Open in time for the 2008 Olympics, The Place is an upscale mall with an immense LED Sky Screen canopy over its outdoor plaza that's a destination in itself. Shops on three levels in two wings have brands like Zara and Aldi, the English-language Chapterhouse bookshop and Tourneau, China's largest watch boutique. Restaurants serve both Chinese and Western food.
