The place to go for dim sum, Maxim's Palace has various branches around the town, but the flagship is at City Hall near the IFC complex. Maxim's Palace City Hall is massive (seating up to 500 at a time) and delightfully noisy with the dim sum delivered the traditional way - by little ladies pushing trolleys around what looks like a ballroom. It offers at least 100 varieties of dim sum and Cantonese-style signature dishes like deep-friend prawns with mango salad. Expect a line, particularly on weekends.
