More than a museum, Yad Vashem is the official Israeli memorial to Holocaust victims. It is a 44.5-acre (18 ha) complex featuring a museum with underground galleries, a synagogue, research institute, publishing house and memorial sites such as the moving Children's Memorial and the Hall of Remembrance. It offers a variety of tours and seminars. Admission is free.
