Reachable by car or train, the Clore Garden of Science is on the Weizmann Institute campus in Rehovot, just to the south of Tel Aviv. Geared towards introducing children to the sciences, there are a number of open-air exhibits explaining scientific principles like gravity and the properties of water. Signage is in both English and Hebrew, and there are many places to settle in for a post-science picnic. Admission is 40NIS, and it's best to arrange a tour in advance, as the park will close some exhibits on slow days.
