In 1948, the founders of the state of Israel gathered in what is now called Independence Hall to make their declaration of state. The building, once home to mayor of Tel Aviv Meir Dizengoff, sits on Rothschild Boulevard across from the Founder's Monument. History buffs can spend a nice morning between the two, learning about the formation of this modern nation. Private tours can be arranged in advance.

This is a small private house where the Declaration of Independence was read. It had been an art museum donated by Tel Aviv's first mayor. It's a good place to check out the history of the city.
