The hippest neighborhood in Tel Aviv is by far Neve Tzedek, where laid-back locals browse art galleries and sip boutique wines to the sound of jazz trios. It's particularly well-located, bordered by the beach, Rothschild Boulevard and Carmel food market, foodies and artists will find plenty to amuse them here. Highlights of the area include the Gutman Museum of Art, the Suzanne Dellal Center and the Rokach House.

The oldest neighborhood in Tel Aviv outside of Jaffa was established 20 years before the city. It's popular on Shabbat to just walk around and look at the architecture. Most food places are open so you can get an ice cream and stroll around the tony area.
