Founded in 1583, Bakken is the world's oldest amusement park, and Danes love it almost as much as they love Tivoli Gardens. It's a bit run-down at this point but has over 100 rides and a large number of beer gardens and food stalls, making it an ideal weekend destination from the big city. The train trip is under half an hour from Central Station to Klampenborg, and Bakken is located inside a beautiful public park called Dyrehaven. Admission to the grounds is free, with wristbands for the rides priced at 249 DKK.
