After a recent 17-million kroner renovation, the Botanical Gardens is one of the most peaceful spots in the city, and has examples of almost every type of plant in Denmark. The enlarged grounds have hours worth of tranquil paths to explore, a 19th-century greenhouse with warm weather plants, a small lake, and a charming little geological museum. Don't miss the gift shop, where you can buy honey made from the garden's own bees. Admission is free.
