Designed by the architect Martin Nyrop in the National Romantic style, Copenhagen's City Hall was inaugurated in 1905 and remains one of the tallest buildings in the city. Some 300 steps lead up to the slim clock tower, which has quite a view of Tivoli gardens and the inner city. It is also where U.S. Ambassador Rufus Gifford and Dr. Stephen DeVincent said I do.
