Established by brewing magnate Carl Jacobsen, the Ny Carlsberg Glypotek was specially designed around his existing collection, and is as a result a seamless experience of art in architecture. The works on display cover several centuries, with an emphasis on ancient Mediterranean and 18th- and 19th-century French and Danish art. There are over 30 works by Rodin, and the Danish Golden Age collection rivals that of the Statens Museum. Guests should be sure to visit the glass-domed Winter Garden, which is filled with palm trees, fountains and statuary. Admission is 75 DKK, free on Sundays.
