The Royal Danish Theatre consists of three main venues near Kongens Nytorv: the Playhouse, the Opera House, and the Old Stage. Each of these are state-subsidized, making tickets for the symphony, ballet, and opera considerably cheaper than elsewhere in the world, and opening up these somewhat esoteric art forms to the general public. Guided tours of the Baroque building are available year-round for 100 DKK, while ticket prices for individual shows vary.
