Built in 1787 as the Golden Cross Inn, the historic Marlborough has been an LGBTQ venue since the 1970s, with a cozy 60-seater theater with a proscenium-arch stage and a regular program of original theater, music, spoken word, cabaret, comedy and live literature. The pub is next door. Annual highlights include the Pink Fringe Festival in May and Brighton Pride in August.
