The one-time East Sussex home of artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, the Charleston Farmhouse was the center of the Bloomsbury artist movement for over 50 years and is open to the public. The interior features walls, doors and furniture decorated by its residents and frequent visitors, as well as works by artists like Renoir, Picasso, Derain and Delacroix. Outside is an enchanting walled garden with gravel paths, hidden sculptures, an orchard and pond. Tours for 10 people maximum.
