Less busy than the neighboring Palace Pier Beach, Kemptown beach is where Brighton's gay village meets the sea. Beach volleyball, beach soccer, footvolley, beach rugby, climbing and other sand based activities are available for all ages at the the Yellowave Beachsports club, as well as a cute café with indoor and outdoor seating. Reached by the Volk's electric railway and regular bus service, or 15 minutes by foot from the pier.
