The narrow streets of Monaco turn into a high-speed racetrack each May with the running of the Monaco Grand Prix, an international Formula One race, which is part of the Triple Crown of Motorsport. First held in 1929, it can be viewed by day-trippers from temporary grandstands, particularly in the harbor area.
