The Massena Museum, the Italianate neoclassical mansion dating from the turn of the 20th century, documents the history of Nice through its art, decorative arts and antique furnishings, but the real attraction is outside in the English-style gardens created by Edouard Andre, who also did the gardens of the Monte-Carlo Casino. The museum was renovated in 2008. Admission is free.
