Place Masséna, Nice's main square, is modeled on the Italianate porticos of Rue Rivoli in Paris. Impossible to miss, it is strategically located between old town and new with the tram running across it. Illuminated fountains and landscaped gardens make it a good place to pause for food and drink. It's also the site of special events, Carnival celebrations and open-air concerts.
