Le Citizen, the first boutique hotel along the Saint-Martin Canal, has 12 guest rooms and suites, recently renovated in natural wood and minimalist design. A high-tech and eco-friendly hotel, it features canal views and a Japanese restaurant that offers a 13-euro bento menu. Rooms are on the small side, but extras include iPads loaded with music and maps and complimentary breakfast and mini-bar. It often hosts book readings and art exhibits.
