The Tour d'Argent, a historic restaurant known for its duck and unrivaled views of Notre Dame, has long been the symbol of extraordinary dining, but it got a boost in 2007 with "Ratatouille," the animated feature in which a chef commits suicide after losing a Michelin star. In fact, that had happen at the Tour d'Argent, long a 3-star that dropped to two and then to one. Stars aside, it is still an unmatched and probably once-in-a-lifetime experience if somewhat staid. Reservations and dress to match the decor required.
