The Museum of Montmartre with its collection of works by Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani, Kupka, Steinlen, Valadon, and Utrillo is in a most unmuseum-like setting - a 17th century residence (the oldest building in Montmartre) surrounded by three gardens honoring Renoir, who lived and painted in the house. One room is devoted to the history of the Can-Can. The museum also includes the recently restored studio-apartment of Maurice Utrillo and Suzanne Valadon.
