Famous in history, literature and film, Notre Dame is on everyone's must-see list, so expect a lengthy queue during the summer months if you want to visit the interior of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Booking a tour ahead may cut the wait. Entry to the church is free, but there is a fee for the towers, crypt and treasury. Audio-guides of the cathedral are available. Hosts and hostesses are stationed at the information office just inside the cathedral to answer questions.

The historic church is a wonder to see. I was lucky enough to be there when the Choir was singing. Best to be guided by a professional though as there was much I did not understand.
