Berghain, and its upstairs sibling, Panorama Bar, comprise one of Berlin's greatest, queerest spectacles. With monumental lighting, world-class sound system, and a raging crowd of techno enthusiasts, sexpots and tourists, the club is well worth the fifteen Euro entry (and forget not, the party lasts for three days). Dark but not dreary, sinister but not cruel, perhaps Berghain's greatest accomplishment is its recircuiting of Germany's fascist erotics into a radically inclusive, liberating Temple of Sound. The best way to get in is not worrying about getting in.
