Behind the theater's classical facade are three stages: the original main stage with seating for 600; the Kammerspiele added in 1906 with a 230-some person capacity and the up-close-and-personal Box in the Kammerspiele foyer, which opened in 2006 with room for 80. Works are both classic and contemporary, and a number are available with English subtitles, best seen from the rear of the theater.
