Under government protection since 1974, this ensemble of buildings in Prenzlauer Berg is one of the best preserved examples of Berlin industrial architecture heralding from the end of the 19th century. Today it operates as a cultural center for the Kollwitz neighborhood and offers everything from modern theater and dance classes to DJ nights, as well as a handful of restaurants and shops.
