Lakes are very popular recreational destinations for Germans, and Berlin is home to an incredible number for a metropolis. The best known of these is the far-West Wannsee, with is excess of yacht clubs, sand imported from the Baltic Coast, and all of the usual lake amenities: boat rentals, nudist section, water slide. By this point, though, one is practically in Potsdam.
