One of the most important Protestant baroque churches of northern Germany, St. Michaelis has five organs and a 132-meter (433 ft.) tower with an observation deck and the largest tower clock in the country. It has been rebuilt a number of times since the 17th century and was reconstructed after being destroyed in WWII.
