Organized by energetic local Patricia, group hikes leave from the main square of Skala Eressos to explore the surrounding mountains, valleys and small villages. Most walks are about two and a half to three hours, and while not overly strenuous, participants should be sure to bring water and wear long pants and appropriate footwear. Advance sign-up is recommended, which can be done at Sappho Travel. Tickets are around $13.
