Garage, a punk-esque rock bar, and the adjoining Workmans, an indie music venue, aren't explicitly lesbian bars, but they definitely attract a queer female crowd. Grunge music is window-shaking, the floor is covered in sawdust, and power tools hang on the walls. Downstairs, Workmans attracts up-and-coming rock 'n' roll bands, screenings, launches, book readings and movie shoots.
