Named after the Yeats poem, The Winding Stairs opened as a bookshop in the 1970s right on one end of Ha'penny Bridge and became a popular meeting spot for writers, musicians and artists. It closed in 2005, reopening a year later with a restaurant upstairs that quickly established as an acclaimed culinary destination for genuine Irish food. Reservations recommended if not necessary.
