Topped by a 141-foot (43 m) spire, St. Patrick's is Ireland's tallest and largest church. The Gothic cathedral dates from 1220-1259 and is built on an ancient well, supposedly used by St. Patrick and long a holy pilgrimage site. Visitors may come for a tour or hear the world-renowned children's choir sing at one of 12 services per week.
