Established by Queen Elizabeth in 1592 to educate the Protestant bourgeoisie, this historic college contains a magnificent library, a gallery of contemporary art, a theater and a science exhibition center. The most famous attraction is the medieval manuscript, the Book of Kells. Trinity College's alumni include some of Ireland's most famous writers such as Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker and Samuel Beckett.
