Established in 1907, the Museo Arqueológico preserves and displays ancient artefacts and human remains found on Ibiza and Fomentera islands. The research is mainly based on the Puig des Molins necropolis just outside of the old town, where the oversized or claustrophobic may want to steer clear of the fascinating burial chambers. The museum itself may be found at the top of Dalt Vila in Cathedral Square next to Ibiza's castle and the Bishop's house. Check opening hours before you go.
