Named after the abbey founded on the site in 853, the Fraumünster might be a beautiful example of early modern Gothic nave architecture, but the still-visible crypt of the 9th-century abbey church is the most impressive sight. There is also a set of five stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall and one by Augusto Giacometti.
