In 1706, St. Peter was consecrated as the first church built under protestant rule and is the oldest parish church in the city (that is, a church not belonging to a monastery). Visitors might be interested in the clockface on the tower, which is the largest of its kind on a church in Europe, and the Gothic nave which was built in 1406. Also, its organ has a phenomenal sound.
