The Buenos Aires Japanese Garden is one of the largest of its kind outside of Japan, spread over 4.9 acres (2 ha) in the northeast corner of the Tres de Febrero park in Palermo. Completed in 1967, the peaceful grounds are home to a mix of nicely manicured Japanese and South American flora, a bonsai-filled greenhouse, a cultural center with a full calendar of activities, a Buddhist temple, a lake crossed by the Divinity Bridge and a Japanese tea house and restaurant, which is closed Tuesdays.
